As a child, creative packing always seemed to excite me. Anything that appealed to me, such as posters, magazine advertisements, or bags from the stores I shopped at, I hung up on my bedroom walls. I was drawn towards design, but it wasn’t until senior year of high school when I realized that I wanted to pursue it. I participated in a graphic design workshop at a nearby vocational high school and learned the capabilities of design software. I am very excited about my degree project because it is something I have been thinking about for a long time. I have been listening to electronic music for about eight years, and every time I hear it I can visualize the sounds and the energy. When I started studying graphic design I really began to see the relationship between art and music. In many ways, music is composed in a similar way to computer graphics; programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator function a lot like music software. For example, music software uses layer of sound as well as fading and filters to create transitions, just as layers and transparencies in Photoshop are used.
