Joey Nees
For me, good design combines thorough research, risk taking, and process. I’m most passionate about the communicative possibilities in graphic design. I like to think that my design is a better person than I am because it empowers me to think differently about my own environment—the social and cultural spaces that surround me. Consequently, I find this process to be a powerful tool for inspiration and education for both myself and my audience. My design can be characterized as loose and playful. I’m interested in identity and information systems that combine ambiguities and abstraction with rationality and logic. I respect and embrace order and chaos—both instrumental in my design exploration.
