Art is one of humanities greatest feats. Its expression of emotion and meaning transcends cultural barriers, while also withstanding the test of time. There are many ways to be an artist; with words, paintings, photos, or the creation of anything aesthetic (because that’s not subjective!). For me, there may not be anything more liberating than creating an abstract piece of art, or capturing a glimpse in time, left open for interpretation by others and sometimes myself.
